Hotel Escurial - Centre Gare - Metz

This place suits me perfectly, offering strong Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, and luggage storage. The staff helped me with town info during my first stay, and they've always been nice. I highly recommend it for your next visit.

Brilliant food and warm drinks. Stunning location very close to the central station, exceptional services and lovely bed.

Reasonably clean, budget hotel, I loved a nice size and modest rooms and excellent staff. A wide array of food items served for sensational breakfast. The property had a convenient location close to Nouvelle Ville. There was a good restaurant, the Christmas market and a market next door. My stay was PERFECTLY PLEASANT here.

The room was small, and the bathroom door hit the bed when opening it. I found it frustrating that the air conditioning unit was ineffective, leading to a hot, uncomfortable night. I was disappointed that the breakfast options were limited, lacking variety for those with specific dietary preferences.

The hotel is housed in a beautiful old building near the train station. The rooms are a bit cramped and simply furnished, but nothing is missing. Only the bathroom could have a little more space, it is already very narrow. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is typically French, you can not expect a lot of hearty, but there is a great selection of sweet pastries and cakes.

There are no free parking spaces nearby during the day during the week.

Beds were not made and rooms were not cleaned. At 1:00 am in the middle of the night we had to move to another room, because water was dripping from the ceiling onto our bed and into the bathroom, which was getting stronger and stronger, probably a burst pipe in the room above us. The night porter was friendly, but on the part of the hotel management we have not received an answer to our complaint, neither an apology nor a compensation for the inconvenience.

The location is great, just a 5-minute walk from the train station. The shower was a bit cramped.

Very conveniently located, breakfast in a pleasant atmosphere even without a huge selection. Room was small but quiet. At the weekend, parking in the "Payant" zone is also cheap (on Saturday, book your parking space in time, it will be checked - and on Sunday it is free). It was a very pleasant long weekend

Huge, comfortable bed. Absolutely great breakfast that left nothing to be desired. 10 minutes walk to the city centre. Enough cheap public parking spaces when we were there at the weekend.

Great location, just a short walk to the train station and nice cafés nearby. My room had good heating, perfect for the chilly weather outside. The staff provided a lovely walking map for exploring the city, really helpful. I appreciated the cleanliness of my room and the well-maintained bathroom. I found the pillows uncomfortable. I had to use my jacket for better support. The Wi-Fi connection was reliable, and the vending machine was a great addition for late-night snacks. On the downside, I noticed an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, a bit off-putting. A decent stay for its price and location.

Had a great stay! The breakfast was amazing, and I loved the central location-so easy to walk to the Cathedral. Just a heads up, the shower was a bit cramped, but overall, totally worth it for a night in Metz!

Comfortable room, convenient location, as it was only a 500-meter walk to the train station and near local attractions.

Extremely efficient welcome from the Reception staff. Perfect room for a family of four - 2 interconnecting rooms. We just stayed for one night en route to Calais after motoring around Europe. It was basic, simple, clean and comfortable but I wouldn't stay any longer than 2 or 3 nights. Breakfast room is clean and pleasant. The breakfast is ordinary but not inedible but the coffee is not good. Overall a comfortable and pleasant stay.
